CLASS AVAILABILITY AND WAITING LISTS
Current Class Availability
In order to comply fully with new social distancing and class sizes, we are currently re-structuring our classes and timetables. This will be announced very shortly. Places will first be filled by our current students. Available places will then be offered to our waiting list.
Please note: We are currently unable to offer any classes at our former Rickmansworth or Ruislip centres. All classes will take place at our Hatch End and Northwood centres – this will allow us to offer the necessary safety, security and spacing required for our COVID-compliant classes.
When will the next trial classes take place?
Trials usually take place on the first weeks of term. Our next trials are scheduled for 19th/20th September.
PLEASE NOTE: Trial classes take place at the centre you will join. For example, it is not possible to have your trial classes at Hatch End if you would like to join our Northwood centre.
How do we allocate places in our classes?
Places are generally offered in strict order of when a trial request is received. However, in order to keep our classes balanced we also consider other factors, including:
- School Year – Our classes need to maintain a good balance of ages;
- Goals and Aims – We reserve a certain number of places in each class for each of the categories shown in the Goals drop-down selection below.
TRIAL CLASS INFORMATION AND DEPOSITS
Our trial classes usually take place on the first day of each term.
Please note: Due to the current restrictions limiting the maximum number of people permitted in a room at one time, unfortunately parents are unable to sit in and watch a trial class. Therefore, children should be confident enough to walk into the class without their parent.
A non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your Musical Theatre trial class. The deposit has been temporarily reduced to £10 per child for ACT 1 and Dance-only classes, and £20 per child for ACT 2, ACT 3 and ACT 4. We will not request this deposit from you until we are able to offer you a trial class.
Payment of a trial class deposit guarantees your child’s place at the specific trial date(s) they have been invited to, and guarantees their continuing place at Sharpe Academy if they join after the trial. Our trial classes are fixed to the first 2 weeks of each term, we cannot offer any alternative dates. Deposits are non-refundable if you are unable to attend your scheduled trial classes for any reason, including illness, but will be deducted from your first term's fees if you choose to continue and join Sharpe Academy at the end of your trial classes. A deposit cannot be carried over to a future trial class.
If you accept a trial class invitation, we will send you details of how to pay the deposit which must be received by us before the trial class date. Sharpe Academy reserves the right to offer your place to the next person on the waiting list if the deposit has not been received.
We currently do not require a deposit for a Company audition, or if you already have a child enrolled at Sharpe Academy.
