We reserve the right to remove an affiliate from our programme and not pay commission if an affiliate is found to have broken our Acting Programme terms and conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to courses provided to students and affiliate members by Sharpe Academy of Theatre Arts Limited (“the Academy”, “Sharpe Academy”, “Sharpe”). Registration of a student for such courses or affiliate membership constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions by such dance and drama school, student and, as applicable, by such student’s parent or guardian.

The course must be purchased by an adult aged 18 and over and they accept responsibility for the supervision of students under 18 taking part in the course.

The Academy accepts no responsibility for any accidents or injuries which arise from students taking part in this course of study. No staging is totally risk free and students should be careful to use an appropriate space to rehearse their direction without any obstructions, obstacles or hazards.

The Academy reserves the right at any time to suspend or permanently remove a student or affliate member from the course or affiliate programme for any reason and at its sole discretion.

The duration of the course will be from January 2025 to December 2025 and no extension will be permitted. No discount is offered to students starting the course part way through the year. It is anticipated the course can take between 2-6 months to complete depending on the speed a student wishes to go.

You hereby grant permission for the Academy to use any photographs, videos and audio recordings taken or filmed by a student performing our set direction or an affiliate member recording such set direction where we are tagged on social media or are sent a digital recording or on behalf of the Academy, in or around auditions, classes and productions in perpetuity for the purposes of publicity in all media now known and hereinafter devised throughout the world. Copyright for all such photographs, videos and audio recordings will remain the property of the Academy and may not be used in affiliate marketing without prior written permission from the Academy management.

You agree not to make copies or reproductions of any materials, staging, scripts loaned or given to the students by the Academy. All such materials remain the property of the Academy. We do not hold the copyright for each individual monologue and we use monologues for the purposes of education working towards Graded examinations with LAMDA.

The liability of the Academy in contract, tort, negligence, pre-contract or other representations or otherwise arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions or the performance or observance of its obligations under these Terms & Conditions shall be limited to a refund of the Fee or relevant portion thereof.

The Academy shall not be liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under these Terms & Conditions which is beyond its reasonable control.

The Academy reserves the right to use your contact information to send you details of current or future Sharpe Academy events. The Academy will never share your information with any third parties for any reason unless required to do so by law. All contact information is treated in the strictest confidence and in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Any waiver of any provision of these Terms & Conditions will be effective only if in writing and signed by the Academy management. If any clause in these Terms & Conditions is found to be unenforceable, wherever possible this will not affect any other clause and each will remain in full force and effect.

A person who is not a party to these Terms & Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to rely upon or enforce any term of these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and in the event of any dispute you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

FEES

All fees paid by customers for the course are non refundable and must be paid in full before course materials are released. Each individual student must purchase their own course access. Any Affliates found to be sharing course access passwords to more students than have purchased the course will be immediately liable to pay back all commission paid thus far and will have their affiliate membership cancelled immediately.

£20.00 per student commission payment will be paid to affliate member Dance and Drama schools who produce an invoice for their students participating on the course. Students must have booked using the Affiliate members individual code. No commission will be paid on your first 4 students enrolling onto the course. No commission will be paid if your personal Affiliate discount code was not used. We will notify you of your enrolments for you to create an invoice. Invoices should include your company name, address, invoice amount and bank details. We will not pay commission by any other method other than bank transfer from invoice. Payment terms are 60 days from invoice.

Students are not entitled to discounts if they have already made purchse. No refunds part or full will be given once payment has been made. Affiliates are responsible for making sure thier students are aware of the correct discount codes on offer to them.

The course fees do not include private lessons or the examination cost. These are additional costs and no discounts for these are available.

COURSE AND/OR AFFILIATION CANCELLATION POLICY

If a student chooses to leave the course or not complete the examination no notice is required. No refunds are offerfed for any reason if a cancellation is made.

Once membership has been cancelled no further commission payments will be made from that point forwards including any payments that are due. The Discount code will also be removed from our system on the day affiliate membership ends.

Affiliate Membership continues from year to year until either party cancel the agreement.

EXAMINATIONS

Sharpe Academy runs several LAMDA examination sessions during the academic year. Details of how to book can be found on each Grade page.

LAMDA runs public centre exmaination dates throughout the year around the UK. Details of how to book can be found on each Grade page.

The examiners marks are final and Sharpe Academy will take no part in making formal complaints to LAMDA should students not obtain their desired mark.

The cost of examinations is not included in the course. Please see the Grade pages for individual cost at either a Sharpe Centre or LAMDA Public Centre.

We try where possible to only hold data digitally using secure and protected software. We do however at times require hard copy information such as sign‑in/sign‑out registers on examination day.
