LAMDA Grade 2

For GRADE 2 students will need to present TWO monologues. We have chosen the monologues The Brave Little Tailor & The Examination, which all students must study.

Who is this exam for: Ages 9-10 / School Year 5 (or those who have completed Grade 1)

STEP 1: Book the course. This will give you access to the set monologues, knowledge worksheet and staging videos. Please note our course must be booked by the 1st April 2026 for a Tuesday 26th May exam

STEP 2: Learn your lines. You must memorise your monologues in order to take an examination. You need to be word perfect!
STEP 3: Learn your staging. You will find the staging videos below. You must learn the monologues off by heart and perform this with the set actions (from the staging video). All actions are important so please don't miss anything out. If you would like to book a Private lesson to learn this staging in person we have availability between the 1st-12th April. STEP 4: Knowledge Questions. Please see the Knowledge Worksheet below for the questions examiners will ask. Knowledge makes up 20% of your final mark so is very important to understand and rehearse. No notes can be taken into the exam rooms so students will need to memorise their answers to each question.

STEP 5: The Examination. This will take place on Tuesday 26th May. Your time will be allocated 14 days before the exam and cannot be requested.
